Self Portrait Project Update
During the summer I took some time to photograph several subjects, but I didn't get to dive into more of my self-portrait goal for the year. This is not to say that I have been idle in my time. As I have just released a Wedding Planner for couples tieing the knot, but now it is time to focus on completing the goals I set for my photography earlier this year.
The goal for the self-portrait project was to complete a series of self-portraits with my favorite books. I have completed 2 of the images in the series and the goal is to complete two more images before the end of the year. If I can get three in I will but as the year winds down I have a lot to accomplish in my professional life along with my personal life.
Finding pieces that will complete my vision for one of my more challenging self-portraits projects has been a little difficult and with that my vision shifts. To date, I have gathered seven images for The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland image and have started to bring them together. There are several more that I need to capture before this piece will be complete.
The second self-portrait will be completed before the end of the year portraying Dune. I have been going back and forth with this one since the release of the new movie is today, and I wanted to hold off till seeing the movie to see if I get more inspiration for this image, as my vision for this image has been very simple, but I don't feel that vision fully encompasses the whole of what the book means to me.
I hope you enjoy some of the images that were captured in the month of September. Can you guess which ones might end up as part of The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland?
